One is in Stará Bastova, in the heart of the old town of Košice right next to the ancient city walls, and one is on Komenského, close to Marathon Square, which is at the top end of the pedestrianised main street, Hlavná. Both flats are within minutes of shops, including a Tesco and a Marks and Spencer, restaurants, museums, cathedrals, churches and facilities of Hlavná. Museums such as the Miklush Prison, part of the Východoslovenské Múzeum, or the Slovenské Technické Múzeum are a short walk away. Stroll out into the sunshine on Hlavná and have breakfast at one of the many cafes there. The city's prestigious Statné Divadlo Košice (State Theatre of Kosice) is on Hlavná and not far away is the Steel Arena which is not only an ice hockey stadium but also hosts acts such as Enrique Iglesias and Lenny Kravitz and Kleopatra the musical.

High class restaurants such as the Camelot, with a knightly theme, the Vináren just opposite, the 12 Apostelov, and the Maejster Bar (temporarily closed for reconstruction); and simpler places such as Reštaurácia pod Baštou are within 150m. Eat breakfast in the flat or stroll to one of the many cafes or bagetarias on Hlavná. Or even closer to hand, visit the craft shops on Hrnčiarska Ulica, where there is the Caffé Bel Tempo, and a Pekar offering pastries. Tesco is at one end of Hlavná and a new Marks and Spencer a few minutes away in the other direction. Museums such as the Miklush Prison, part of the Východoslovenské Múzeum , or the Slovenské technické múzeumare within 100 metres.

Marks and Spencer are at the other end of Hlavná. The Východoslovenské Múzeum is 100m away. The Veterinary University is within very easy walking distance.
